A strong mind. A stronger body. It's what we need to help us recover from sickness and injury. Rehabilitation gives us the strength to become independent once again.
Rehabilitation is essential for a patient's successful transition from a care environment to home, yet it's often a neglected part of a patient's treatment. At Central Arkansas Hospital Rehab, feeling better through rehabilitation is a way of life. The success of our rehab unit is the result of flexible, custom-designed treatment programs for adults who have been disabled by injury or illness.
Your Own Rehab Program
Each patient referred to our extensive program is carefully evaluated. A treatment plan is then developed to get him/her functioning as independently as possible. Each individual rehabilitation program addresses physical or medical problems, difficulties with the activities of daily living and specialized problems relating to feeding, communication, attention, ambulation and self-care.
Your Own Rehab Team
Patients are allocated a team of professionals to help them regain their independence as soon as possible. Within their own unique rehabilitation program, individuals are given the support of the medical director; rehabilitation nursing; physical, occupational, and speech therapists; a social worker; psychologist; family physician; family members; and rehab support members.
Your Own Free Personal Assessment
Before admission to the Central Arkansas Hospital Rehab program is granted, a rehab team member assesses each patient. It's a free consultation that can be conducted at the patient's home or at the hospital.
To be eligible to enroll in a rehab program, the following criteria are required:
